Placement Solutions contributed in the reduction of out of state placements of youth in RI from 150 in 2008 to 68 in 2010.
Statewide Managed Information System for Utilization Review
Placement Solutions maintains utilization management data (information regarding appropriate out-of-home placement) for all children and youth who live in residential and community-based settings funded by the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth, and Families. CFP has modified a version of the Client Information System for use by Placement Solutions. This modified version of the CIS allows Placement Solutions to gather information and create detailed, tailored reports. Placement Solutions uses these reports to identify and promote best practices.
