The Adoption and Foster Care Program places children and youth referred to Communities for People (CFP) by the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) and Department of Youth Services (DYS) in safe and nurturing foster and pre-adoptive homes that support each child on their path to permanency. CFP clinicians conduct a comprehensive assessment of each child, youth, and family in the program in order to determine the most appropriate placement. CFP’s Adoption and Foster Care Program staff members strive to recruit and train families to meet the needs of each child and youth referred to the program.
