Doc Wayne Youth Services’ mission is to fuse sport and therapy to heal and strengthen at risk youth. Doc Wayne expands access to evidence-based, trauma-informed group therapy for students who have, or are at high risk of developing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges that can adversely affect their development. Their Chalk Talk® program, provides mobile outpatient sport-based group therapy to youth utilizing a team of experienced clinicians and trained coaches. Doc Wayne groups, provided within school systems and communities, support healthy development and reduce learning barriers caused by mental health challenges to ultimately create improved academic success and assist students in becoming contributing members of their community.

Doc Wayne is an award winning organization. In 2015, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation honored Doc Wayne with its national Sports Award, and in 2016, the organization received global recognition from Beyond Sport’s “Sport for Health Award” for a program using sport for positive social change.

"CFP actually took the time to help and guide me, unlike the other places I've been in. I was  treated like a person rather than a chore. Even if I tried to push everyone away, but no matter how angry I got, everyone listened. Everyone stayed."
