Families for Children Foster Care and Adoption Services
Families for Children (FFC)
Families for Children is a specialized foster care program designed to serve youth ages 0-20 years old who cannot be served in traditional, public agency foster homes. The program also serves as a family-based treatment setting for both diversion and a step-down from residential care and inpatient hospitalization. Eligible youth require a higher level of care and supervision than is usually found in a traditional or kinship foster care placement.
Families for Children – Residence Model (FFC-RM)
The Families for Children – Residence Model (FFC-RM) foster care program is a unique hybrid of therapeutic foster care and traditional group care for youth ages 13-20 years old. The FFC-RM program is designed to work with youth whose behavioral presentations and severity of emotional needs previously precluded their placement in a family setting, and requiring a step down from residential/hospitalization before transition into generic foster home.
